You guys heard of RAGE yet? Looks pretty impressive to me.

It's a FPS game about the world after a devastating meteor strike occured in 2029. 80% of all life is gone, and all kinds of nasty shiz roam the wastelands. I'm not sure what the exact goal of the game is yet, it seems to have characteristics of a RPG, like Fallout.

The realistic effects (apart from the protagonist seemingly being able to take an obviously lethal strike or two), like that blade getting stuck at the guy's forehead, are well-executed (oh the pun #Tongue). I love how the enemies jump around, using the terrain/obstacles to their advance. But wait, mind control? Okay...but why does it make people explode? Nevertheless, it looks good. #Tongue

Been waiting for this for ages, however with my current situation I really can't afford it. Sad I'll buy it as soon as I can though, multiplayer should be a lot of fun.

It quite strongly reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and judging from that video the graphics aren't much better either. Graphics aside, it's not a bad thing however, since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was actually pretty interesting; the main thing that made it boring at times was just the fact that you had to travel over great distances a lot, even though you were always on foot.

the graphics are stunning, ID software always proceeds with technical aspects, every texture bit is different in their newest rendering technology, that way in the whole terrain you wont find any repetetive texture bits.

Bittah, I think you misunderstand the main feature of Rage's graphics. Blubb is right on the dot. They got a huge degree of control over the way textures are shown on maps.

I really wish I had a proper gaming PC to run this. My laptop could probably manage on medium settings but when I get an Id game I usually shoot much higher.

Hopefully by the time Doom IV comes out (in 2060), I'll have such a PC.

Yeah. Sometimes that man scares me.

Though man I am not sure of. I listened to the entire hour long keynote he did at QuakeCon this year and I think he might be an alien. Or a God. Not sure.

Don't give a ztype DooM 4 is due before I get my masters degree.... also, Need a new bloody DESKTOP (I have a gaming laptop) that can run RAGE, and that's simply out of the budget. That said, seeing iD push the envelope, as usual, is pleasant.

If it weren't for the 4 hour waiting line, I would have visited the stand at the GamesCon. Looking forward to this one (and Skyrim).

After waiting for ages in the queue i finally got a chance to play i at GAMEfest about a week and a half ago, definately a brilliant game. The graphics are top notch and the mind control darts for the crossbow were fun to use. :3

SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! LET THERE BE DRAGONS RWAAAR!!!

One thing that has kinda put me off with Rage is the racing aspect of it? Is that a major part of it? Personally I dislike racing games (generally due to my lack of competence) and but I love RPG's so I'm cautiously watching this one.

graphics are good, a few new weapons, but besides that it looks like more of the same.

am I being picky? well, considering I only have the time to really enjoy two or three new games a year.. yes.

Rage has appealed to me as a more Fallout-styled Borderlands. I know quite a few people who will be getting this, so if it lives up to the hype I'll definitely be purchasing/playing this.

I'm doubtful it'll take the edge or shine that Gears 3 has in my heart though. :p

This video seems to have a somewhat degraded quality however; that might've given me a worse impression about the graphics.
