Command & Conquer: Alliances is actually a game!
Subject description: Built in the shadows of Generals 2, using stealth technology.
In the last news, I've reported an interview conducted with EA CIRE by the german United-Forum site and there is a particular question that calls attention with today's big news:
Quote:
UF: What is going on with "Alliances"?
According to EA_CIRE those are just internet domains - for now.
Just internet domains, sir? Are you sure? It's actually a new game that is being announced at ea.com!

Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances brings the battle to your browser in this epic strategy MMO. Compete or ally with your friends in a worldwide war for precious resources. Based in the Command and Conquer Tiberium story world, C&C Tiberium Alliances allows players to experience C&C in a brand new way. Using HTML 5 technology, players are able to access their game from any web accessible browser making this one of the first truly portable mmo strategy titles to hit the market.
Conquer Everywhere - Hardcore strategy gameplay available wherever you are. Play on your web browser from any html5 compatible browser or mobile device all for free.
Build Alliances - Diplomacy can get you everywhere. Build alliances & conquer new territory through leveraging your social network strategically.
Grow your Empire - Expand your territory by gathering resources, defeating enemies and taking over new areas of a dynamically updating map.
It should look like this:
Unfortunately, I couldn't check the site on my own. It is overloaded at the moment or offline.
Anyway, it should feature GDI, Nod and the Forgotten, according to those who managed to play it.
And, as the name said, it is not finished yet. So, wait a bit until EA properly announce it. QUICK_EDIT

Now, I am not gonna lie, I do have particular positive view towards browser games, but knowing how they usual end up, I am not sure that it's such a great way to expand the franchise. Oh well, off to build a base in HTML5 and losing to people with Premium Mammoth Tanks. _________________ DUNK! QUICK_EDIT
So? Who the ztype cares? Long as it's fair for everyone regardless of options, it doesn't mean jack shit. Why is everyone so gungho on shaming microtransactions when there's nothing wrong with them? _________________ KGR | AT

Well, i have some experience with thoses flash-bases MMOs XD and well, game like that always went bad if you try to take seriously without paying and fight all paying-members, but well, you can always have fun, i suppose, i will look foward to this anyways. XP QUICK_EDIT
I'm IN the beta and I must say I'm pretty dissapointed as the game it's not a RTS game... you can't even control your units once they're in the battlefield... they just move by themselves...

Signed up for the beta just for the heck of it. I guess it will end up like World of Tanks for me: fun in the beginning, but very boring quickly QUICK_EDIT

I wanted to get the KV with 152mm gun, but in the beta every time the stats where reset, so I could start all over again. Closest I got was the third or 4th level Russian MBT iirc. QUICK_EDIT
