Hi all, I have a modding tool here, it's for Ra2
(It's code is compatible with YR though).

with this, you can 'prepare' the rules.ini code for something.

What you can do with this:

*Code an infantry unit:
Set Name
Set image
Set Occupier or not
Set Primary
Set ElitePrimary
Set Secondary
Set EliteSecondary
Set Speed
Set Strength (health)
Set Armor type
Set Owner
Set wither Prerequisite includes tech lab

*Code a land vehicle
Set Name
Set image
Set Primary
Set ElitePrimary
Set Secondary
Set EliteSecondary
Set Speed
Set Strength (health)
Set Armor type
Set Owner list
Set wither Prerequisite includes tech lab
Set special ability (Transport, DeploysInto building, harvster)
Set Amphibious or not (Without floating effect, just move on the ground and water).

*Code a building
Set if it is a base defence or a normal structure
Set it's weapons
Set it's owners
Set it's prerequisites
Set it's strength (health)
Set Armor type
Set structer usage: Unit production/repair depot/hospital/armory/radar
Set Power usage/output.

*Code a weapon
Not really that big of stuff, just chose the projectile type, set damage, ROF, range and burst.

The program has no GUI, it asks for something then you specify the answer,just check it out.
It works, trust me, good stuff for n00bs and beginners alike.

FAQ:
Q:How do I use it?.
A:After following the on screen instructions, you have the code of your new
stuff ready to be placed in rules.ini, remember to add your infantry
to the infantry list, the vehicles to the unit list, the buildings to the building list.
then open data.ini from the program directory and copy everything in it and paste it somewhere in rules .ini

Q:I cant find my new unit ingame.
A:Causes of this are a one of two:
1-you forgot to add your infantry to the infantry list, the vehicles to the unit list, the buildings to the building list.

2- you copied the code from data.ini into the wrong rules file, it's rules.ini for RA2 and rulesmd.ini for YR.

Q:Can I code a unit for YR with this
A:YES you can, just change the "owner" and "prerequisite" and "AIBasePlanningSide" to yuri's settings.
Also add Bunkerable=yes to vehicles.

Q:Where is data.ini?
A:In the folder the program is in

Q:I still can't find data.ini even though I ran the program.
A: You must be on vista/7, try running the program as an admin, or first run the program, when it says hello, make a new file called data.ini, then follow the instructions again.

Q:What is the coolest thing can I do with this?
A: try making a copy of the apocalypse tank that is amphibious and at the same time a transport that can hold other tanks
and with a lower cost than the real one, make an army of these and put them all inside each other or place other
tanks inside, then send them into your enemies base, each time a one of them is destroyed, 5 pop out of it and so on, unlimited destruction.

OR, try a copy of the rhino tank that floats on water and deploys into a prism tower/tesla coil (or that Eiffel Tower if you're insane).


Q: I've made a vehicle that deploys into a building with this, but once deployed, I can't undeploy it anymore.
A: Give that building "UndeploysInto=YourTank" (without the quotes), this means that if you build that building from a conyard
allows you move it and it turns into your tank, this sometimes disallows you to repair/sell that building, so the right way to do it
is to clone that building, give the clone "UndeploysInto=YourTank", and set it's techlevel=-1.

Q: I don't know the names of weapons
A: Search in rules.ini for them.

Q: What were you thinking when you made this?
A: An installation wizard like method for adding something, actually, it started in a different language and it's purpose was simply to allow morons, fools, idiots, or any equilavent types to mod the game, these fools only play Ra2, since YR is over high-tech to them, Ra2 can be easily installed on 20 machines and you change the serial via registry to get it working on lan, while YR needs you to get 20 copies for it to work on lan.

Q: What mod(s) have been made with this?.
A: The local mod we have in LAN zones, a mod for fools, read the file called (don't readme) for the details.

As a initial suggestion, give it a better name.

Also, there is a difference between the meaning of the words newbie and n00b. The last one is offensive and is usually target at people who behave like a jerk, while the first one is for people who are starting to learn a certain subject.

Finally, what's the advantage of using your program instead of TibEd?
