Having an issue with propeller appearence in-game - when the plane is facing N, its ok, but when its facing S, the wing of the plane overwrites the propeller. I tried changeing the section order in VSE, but nothing seems to help. How to fix it?

It has the titan logic where when a separate and animated props will disappear because the game treats it like a barrel like the titan, some people have tried to make a separate voxel for each propeller and then just add some Art code to over-ride it from being hidden on the S.

I haven't tried it myself, but give it a go. it might or might not work. Post a screenshot if you are successful.

Also a theory i just thought you could try it on the unit it self but very skeptical if it will work.

PS: i'm pretty certain it hard coded to the game to not show S with vertical Voxels only 2-1 cell thick but can't prove it just yet.

Not sure if it helps, but check out my hexapod.

IIRC it has no clipping issues even if it has many animated sections.

This was done using 3ds2vxl, so i fear i can't tell you what exactly makes this work.

I would suggest looking at the voxel size, header and positioning in the hva.

i think i know why propellers are the only ones that keep doing it must be normals. Thicker props should fix it. Looks ugly but you can always HVA resize. damn i love that Hva manager :3

I do know that it works if the propeller section is placed above the others in the HVA

Try adding UseBuffer=yes to the unit's art entry (but for the results to be the best, it appears that the body has to be 1st section).

I really need to write a tutorial on making & animating multi-section vxls >.>

The order of the sections has nothing to do with how a multi-section vxl is rendered in-game. What maters is the size & position of each section in relation to each other, the screen & how they overlap etc.

The wings are covering the propellers on the south facing because the plane is simply bigger & closer to the screen at that angle. The propellers either need to be either moved forward, made bigger or you'll need to mess with offset/position in the sections header.
