Hi, I will probably make Sole Survivor in which both players start with Mammoth MKII and both have to venture deeper into the zone to find crates and gather more troops to beat enemy Sole Survivor.

The question is, should I use TibEd to edit those units value (health, damage, speed, etc, and ini too)? If so, when I save it on my map, how can I separate that map from other so it will stay unique?

Please teach me how.

Confused

Open your rules.ini, find the entry you're looking for.
Open the map as a text file, and copy the entry into it.
Change the values as you see fit.
Save map.

Where can I find rules.ini?

EDIT: never mind about the rules.ini

But, how can I open the map as a text file? When i try to open up my custom map, it says there are no program that can open it up. What kind of program should I use to open it up and copy the entry into it?

Notepad++ Is what I use, it also leaves the documents you opened if you close it and has more Undo & Redo limits I guess.

Notepad often can't correctly read the line-ending characters which FinalSun writes, so I'd recommend Wordpad instead (although ignoring the issue with line endings I do prefer Notepad).

Where can I find the unit list on wordpad from a custom map? Does the unit have to be preplaced as well too?

Here's a 'for instance':

Code:
; Map created with FinalSun Mission Editor
; www.wagnerma.de (german+english homepage of author), finalsun.wagnerma.de (finalsun homepage, german+english), www.theonliner.de (german homepage of FRG)
; note that all comments were truncated

;Mutant "Draug" Mammoth Tank equiv:
[DRAUG]
Name=Draug Tank
Cost=1750         ;The cost in the rules.ini is 500, I've changed it to 1750 in the map.

[Preview]
Size=0,0,350,192

[PreviewPack]
1=EAMAIAp3Yj53Yj5tWD9tWD93IAAAAO8sAFSBIAAAAPNMEECCSABEg0gAQAFIAEABSABAAU
2=gAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFI
3=AEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSA
4=BAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgA
5=QAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAE
6=ABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABA
7=AUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQA
8=FIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEABSABAAUgAQAFIAEAB
etc...

The entry has been added to the map file, and the values I want to change have been changed. Now, when I play the map, the [DRAUG] will cost 1750 credits.
