C&C 3 has stopped working.

Hello!

So i Installed command and conquer 3 tiberium wars kane edition and patched it to 1.09 and set the compatibility to win xp sp2 and adminstrator yet when i build a power plant the game quits with an C&C 3 has stopped working any suggestions?

System specs:

RAM:4GB
Proccessor:Intel Core I5 at 2.40 ghz
Windows 7 64-bit
Graphics:Radeon hd 4640M 1gb dedicated

Why do you even set the compatibility and administrator thing? It works fine without. What error do you get specifically?

as for error, go to windows admin tools via control panel, and launch event viewer

there you will find your reason

so
we can now see that problem is caused by cnc3game.dat
could be that file is corrupted

also you can get few results if you type in your search engine (google or whatever)
"C&C 3 has stopped working Event ID: 1000"

some people blamed graphic drivers

Have you updated the AMD graphics driver? Old AMD software causes a lot of bugs on many programs.

How could that be? it said the game has been patched succesfully?!

And yes my driver is up to date.

So even if the file was corrupted is there a way to fix it?

reinstall the game
play with version prior to one you patched
then see if it works

you also never said if you use original game or cracked
as most cracks break the game

there are working cracked C&C's 3 but as it is, its illegal to provide links here or discuss it

but I guess its ok to say that you should then try to find another
working *cough* copy #Tongue

don't patch to 1.9
but just use original as it is/came (i guess its 1.00)
