When I start VXLSEII 2.1 OpenGL (WinXP, 512Mb RAM, 2.8GHz Athlon - No voxel loaded, fresh reboot), my processor usage jumps to around 95% and stays there, it causes very noticable lag. Anyone else got this?

Everyone, the program acts like a game, it becomes the domenent program, when u disable the 3d view the processor usage should go down to normal levels. Disabling is good when u need to use another program or don't need to use the 3d view at the moment.

This is with no voxel loaded, the 3d view not shown and 'Update 3d View' disabled in the menu.

As a sidenote, when I open any menu, the processor usage drops to 0% and then when the menu closes, it jumps back up again.

when there is no voxel there is nothing drawn on the 3d view so u should have normal cpu usage.

Yeah, that's exactly my point. I would expect it to be at normal levels, but it isn't and I was wondering if this was something anyone else had experienced.

Anyway, when you release VXLSE III I'll move over to that and see if I still have the problem.

So my pc thats slower has a 10% processor usage when the 3d view is turned off but a machine thats much more powerful is up at 98% with no other apps running?

Doesn't make sence.

Do u have uptodate drivers?

Hmm..... another one. My first thought was that maybe you were using instructions that AMD processors weren't happy with, but you're also using an AMD Stucuk.

Stucuk, are you using a different version of the program? Either version III or a later build of version II than you have available for download?

okay, I have this problem, but Its solved, don't run any other program that would consider using any game types, SHP to me doesn't load if i have VXLSE III open or II, and my computer is far worst than both of you put together....

Windows ME, 800 mhz, 127 mb of ram and also a video card that can barely run C&C Renegade #Tongue

- This is a specific problem of the SHP Builder reported here. This problem is already solved in the unreleased 3.2.
