When I import my model in the vxl 1.39, everything is grey, the model itself and the 3d image. the model has color when i exported it. What can I try to resolve this issue?

VXLSE III uses 3ds2vxl to import 3ds models into vxl and this program was not coded by me. Does your 3ds model has diffuse texture(s)?

I haven't gotten the model to make the skin. Friend was using 3 different colors just as test. The colors were applied and exported then imported to vxl 1.39. I was thinking I have to get the model to make a temp skin to test.

Oh, i was told there is an error that pops up

Object colors are not supported, you need to make a actual texture of the colors and apply it to the model

well, the colors are a png file. A bmp image was used. was just told that an texture that was not for this model was used.

For 3ds2vxl, textures are not necessary for color; materials are. What doesn't work is color coding the different parts of the model so you can distinguish them easier in the 3D model editor. By the way, I don't actually remember if that colouring shows up in the 3DS MAX renderer either.

By the way, you can probably ignore that normals index error. It just means the program doesn't know which way a voxel cube's normal should point because there are surfaces with completely contradictory normals in the same space.
