I have tried, tried, and tried again to get Desura to read my C&C3 install with the Ultimate Edition, and it shows up every game I installed with it EXCEPT C&C3. I can't use the command line function in the Origin launcher. I can't create a shortcut to launch the game directly, because the c&c3.exe redirects me to the origin launcher.

This is getting frustrating. Essence is the only mod I play with C&C3. Any ideas on how to get it working?

The Ultimate edition was notorious for its lack of mod support. I'm afraid there is not much you can do if the command line is disabled as that is the only way (beside the launcher menu which the original version had) to start mods Confused

I remember I was able to launch a game through Origin with a command line.

Dies TUE launch the games individually or does it start TUE and launch the games through a launcher like with TFD?

EDIT: If I right-click on a game it says "Game properties" or something, that's where I can add command lines

I tried using the command lines. It looks like I'll just have to order a disc online and install it that way. yay amazon.

If you can't change the filepath for the game to run the mod's skudef then you don't really have any other options.

You've got the game (payed and well), go get some executable elsewhere.

I find that mods don't work with "acquired" executables. At least not the way I want them to. I found it on Amazon for around 2 bucks. I don't mind waiting a little longer to play it, so I bought it. Should be here sometime this week. Guess the Ultimate Collection is good for just playing vanilla games. I got it for 5 bucks at a thrift shop, so I didn't lose much Very Happy

Disliked TUE even though I won it in a contest for free.
I don't even use TUE, sits in my origin account gathering dust.

I remember seeing a mod around the interwebz that allowed you to use command line.

I appreciate it but I don't even use it anymore. I have most of the games on disc except everything pre-TS. I'm fine without it really.

Anything TS and older can be downloaded for free anyways (freeware yay!)
