Hey, nyerguds, do you think you could use your talents at editing Executables to edit FinalSun and make an ROTD map editor, for us, please? If reaperrr or somebody else here has already an ROTD map editor, please share it with us. Smile

Got it... but it doesn't display most of the ROTD building gfx, even if I rename all mix- and INIfiles.

Final Dawn is a name of another mod O.o

It's better to call it FinalSun For RotD or RotdSun

Well I made the script to change it... but as I said, it doesn't work. Asfar as I see there are 2 major problems... first one is mixfiles inside mixfiles. The bulding gfx are only displayed when I extract all ecache##.mix files from rotdxp02.mix

Second problem seems to be that FinalSun doesn't display all pieces of all buildings. Like the front part of the refinery, and the animated arm of the repair bay.

Seeing as the repair bay is made in such a way that the actual shp is empty and the animation shp is used as complete building, this one isn't displayed either :\
Just putting one real frame of the building in the actual dept.shp would probably fix this problem.

As I said... only when I extract ecache07.mix from rotdxp02.mix

It's probably that FinalSun doesn't look in the rotd expand mixes...

dude, READ. I hex edited the FinalSun EXE so it DOES use the rotdxp##.mix files. The problem is it doesn't read OTHER mixfiles insides those. Meaning it has exactly the same problem with normal expand.mix files.

so that's a problem with the script that lookes for expansions on TS..

anyway i fixed it quite easily with my FinalTSTW.exe Smile Just edit the registry so it looks in another folder than the TS folder. in that other folder are all the graphics and coding it needs..

Well besides that there's also the problem of the editor not displaying all parts of the buildings...
