some time ago there was a topic that someone paced a link in for snow effects. I have been looking for it, it was not a youtube video. The tutorial showed it snowing on a building and it "sticking". I have seen others and none of them are anything close to the one i have been looking for... can someone give me a link to a good tutorial? It is late and i have no more patience to any further. Three days is long enough

PS the topic is about 3 years old, who back in that time was big into 3D modelling. if I can find the name I can find the topic

I don't know the tutorial, but having a snow effect is pretty simple.

a) a particle system for the snow

b) an object deflector with the building as the object

c) set the particle system (best particle flow) to use the deflector and let the particles stop (not bounce) when they hit the deflector.

was it this?

unfortunately are all pictures there gone.
