Hey guys, I got a very big problem.

I upgraded from Win 8.1 to the Win 10 Insider Build.

Looks like Tiberian Sun is finally dead on this Windows. At least with Windows 8 it worked with a few problems at the beginning (playing in false fullscreen) and later with a fitting dll.

But none of those works for Windows 10. Literally the game doesn't even give an error message.

The exe is visible in the task manager, the game eats up one core to 100% but stays at 1MB RAM useage.

Am I doomed now? Looks like I have to wait for OpenRA to port the mod?

Based on public feedback from DTA, I think that it is possible to run Tiberian Sun on Windows 10. I don't know what's causing the issue for you though. Are you playing a mod or vanilla TS (with TS-DDRAW, which I think you mean with "a fitting DLL")?

I am pretty confident that the guys at cncnet.org will hack some kind of fix together once Windows 10 is released. Does OpenRA just work with Windows 10?

Did you try this on the Windows 10 preview?

This was tested on win10 already and it applies the needes fixes to get the game working.

There is one problem left on windows 10 tho, you need to make sure there is no wsock32.dll (LAN patch) inside of your game folder or the game will not start up (I will update the patcher soon to take care of that problem automatically)

Make sure you remove any fixes you already tried to apply (ddraw.dll proxy dll's etc)

Removing wsock32.dll made the game run, now I at least reached the part with "Failed to initialize. Please reinstall." At least something familiar Laughing
