For awhile now I've had this ArmA 2 mod, simple reskin of the ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead units to GDI and Nod with a few modified items.
Curious if anyone is interested in joining me for a game/if it's worth releasing. When mentioning it in the ArmA community they didn't seem interested thus never released.

At the very least I could use it to make some youtube vids.

that would be pretty neat!
so far, i think renegade X is the closest thing we've got to a decent C&C FPS

The 'problem' per say is that it couldn't be a 100% C&C remake as ArmA is a military sim, so stealth tanks, flame tanks aren't possible and Mammoth tanks are slow and thus fairly useless. That said a C&C themed mod works quite well.

Honestly without GDI units and C&C elements in general, how could you even tell it's supposed to be a remake? Beige and dark gray units are hardly C&C specific...

There would be GDI and Nod units, just not all of them.
I have been working on this on the side for a few years now (quite a few, since ArmA 1 to be precise) and Mammoth Tanks, Flame tanks etc often run into issues of how to get them to work in ArmA (a game with no flame weapons or stealth) and weather their practical or balanced, eg: Mammoth tank would be ridiculously slow on a 12km map and I don't see being much use at all. Heck Abrams tanks are rarely used due to their slow speed.

The theme (which ofcourse would use GDI and Nod logos as well as colours) would be to have the 2 factions using real units in a "what if they were real" set in modern time. So you would see iconic units like Humvee, APC, Medium tank, MLRS etc, but some units wouldn't be in.

Also it would have the mission CTI (Capture the Island), which is an RTS mode for ArmA, thus it would have a Command and Conquer element.

I guess I am open to adding the other units, just unsure as to their viability or even possibility.

Some retexture examples are below
