Subject description: When attempting to start a skirmish match, I keep getting this error.

I ran into a problem on DTAv1.555 when I attempted to start a skirmish on a 8-player map with each of the 4 factions. Whenever I attempted to start a match in skirmish on any map, I would get a "KABOOOOOOOM" error message stating that the game could not locate the Settings.ini in the DTA_1.1555 (main game) folder. Since I did not touch the folder post-extraction for any reason other than selecting the start application, I would like to know what actually went wrong and if this problem is more than a random occurrence. This issue has happened every time repeatedly, and it was listed on said error message that if this problem continues, report it to these forums. I hope that this issue can be resolved quickly so everyone can enjoy the latest update to this wonderful Standalone Mod.  Wink

As the message states, the error happens when Settings.ini is missing. To solve the problem, go to Options from the main menu and just click the Save button once.

The problem is caused by an oversight in the client's code and it'll be fixed in the next update (most likely to be released this Friday).

Thankyou for responding with a solution to the problem. I'll be sure to do just that and hopefully it will work after.
