Hi,

I haven't made or edited voxels in over 10 years, so I might have missed something, but all colors >= 204 display as pink/magenta in the voxel editor. I guess it might be some palette that might have gotton corrupted or something like that. I got some strange errors requiring the program to download stuff on start when not run as admin. I'm running windows 8.1, if that has any meaning...

This is intended.
Those special colors (theater and glowing) change according to the theater (or glow on dark maps) for normal SHPs. But for Voxel which use the VPL file to assign voxels to certain colors by their used normal, those theater and glowing colors are not set in the VPL.
Long story short, these colors turn pink ingame and are thus not usable.

Older versions of VSE showed the full palette, causing people to use those wrong colors. New versions of VSE have those wrong pixel changed into pink, to prevent people from using these.

VXLSE has those colours unlocked if you switch to unitsno.pal in the menu.

As you can find out from the palette thread LKO linked to, not all of the colours covered with magenta in VXLSEIII actually turn magenta in the game. At least not in Tiberian Sun. For example, you can use the colours 1-to-11 just fine, despite being magenta in the editor's palette.

Fixed all of them, I did notice however that colors 30 and 31 appear as cyan in the voxel viewer. Is this by design as well?

HVA Builder does a better job rendering them now as long as you don't need a background ...
