The rocket engine is wrong from a realistic point of view.
-it should face the other way round and towards the ground to actually slow down the pod
-the rocket should increase thrust the closer the pod is to the ground

Is the droppod graphic made from scratch or the original SC2 model? Blizzard is a bit bitchy about their assets used in other works.

Something like delivering an invisible vehicle with the pod down anim as AE, and it get killed to release its initial passenger.
