Subject description: How rich and powerful is Nod?

In GDI Mission 4, the GDI Rebels manage to take a large mining facility from Nod

They mined Tiberium from that place for Six years until they got booted out during Mission 5

-Keep in mind that Nod has plenty of other such facilities throughout the world

How many other mining places are under Nod control?

How critical was this Tiberium Mining Facility to both factions?

-If this mining area was important to Nod, they would have sent endless waves of Nod soldiers to reclaim the area

-Which would mean that GDI couldn't feasibly hold onto that facility for a week, let alone several years

So I came up with Two possible conclusions:

-Nod is weak (Which is unlikely) and cannot afford to defend one of its critical mining facilities

OR

-Nod doesn't care(Which make more sense). That same facility that GDI stole for 6 years is just a backwater mining station in the eyes of Nod's Inner Circle

Which just begs the question...

Is GDI and GloboTech fighting ALL of Nod or just a single Subfaction?

I wondered the same.

The campaign is really subpar compared to anything else in this mod, and I don't mean the maps and missions themselves but the storyline.

Not just this one, but the GDI vs GloboTech arc left even more unanswered questions and made no sense whatsoever.

It's like GDI is just fighting Nod-lite

The Black Hand from Renegade is still around in this Alternate Storyline

-They had Laser Miniguns
-Stealth Armor
-Chemical Flamethrower

Other things that don't make sense with the Mod:

-GDI and GloboTech's manpower (they should be having problems finding recruits)

-What is the Black Hand doing

-Is General Owen the leader of the GDI Resistance?

-What happened to the Nod Commander of Tiberium Dawn?

-Why hasn't Nod crushed GloboTech and GDI? (There is only so many places they can hide)

• Those missions are set around the time of the incident where Kane goes missing. At this point Nod has been weakened they're too busy mourning Kane and quelling petty power plays to care about that one Tiberium field.
It is essentially the time where the seeds of the New Brotherhood are planted.

• We are considering adding a few more missions that expand upon the GT/GDI conflict from both parties perspectives, as many of us also consider the current state of things rather underwhelming.

• With the exception of the Tiberium Auto-Rifle (The Infector's rifle is sort of a progression of the weapon), Renegade's hand head weapons aren't considered in TI, as they contradict Tiberian Dawn's established technological level.

• The Black Hand are a relatively small and secretive special forces group not a massive army unto themselves. As they were before Slavik brought them out into the open.

• General Owen is the leader of the GDI cell fortunate enough to be contacted by GloboTech, some other small GDI bands survived for a while but as time goes on the chances of encountering them lessens.

• Considering what the TD Nod Commander managed to achieve, he's likely a member of the Inner Circle by the transitional period.

• We're also considering dropping the amount of global territory conquered by Nod from 80% to 60% or a little lower. Remember that the campaign isn't completed, there are revisions and other alterations needed to better convey events.

-One way to make the story clearer and more plausible is have Nod fight non-GDI/GloboTech enemies such as the Russians and European Union (Nod deploys most of its troops against these guys)

I assume that the following regions are fully controlled by Nod at the start of TI:

-China
-Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos)
-Africa
-Latin America

-The in-between time between missions 4 and 5 should be reduced (From six years to two months!)

-Missions in which GDI/GloboTech rescue prisoners of the United States Army

Quelling power plays takes probably longer than two months, though... It makes a gap of six years much more logical.

It is unfortunate that you seem to somewhat ignore the setting TI or TS in general is put into and you try think it like modern world of ours. You state Russians and European Union and United States Army... which are no doubt gone/folded in a past kind of thing and EU is not a military alliance. GDI is like the militaristic EU but far wider scope under former UN that collapsed since.

Not to mention the countless country subjects, as most countries were surely tiberium ravaged or else lost the meaning of country border lines.
You can have Russia/U.S.A etc on the map but it is surely not a current day independant/unified country no more exactly, some of its people may have flocked to GDI and some went to favor Nod (or preservational GT) so regions may be controlled by both parties within so country borders and areas are surely contested so countrys standing unified alone is not very feasible and same applies to their former militaries.

Plus Nod is not unified for most of the story, if there is no Kane, they tend to segment back to their own regional divisions (that may have their own civil wars) so assuming Nod can literally bring their full force to bear everywhere against GDI or GT is a bit much to assume as world is vast place to enforce.

If the campaign is altered to clear up some of the inconsistencies, that'd be great.  The one that sticks out the most to me is the scenario that starts off the GDI/GT conflict -- the Nod mission involves you taking over the same base you use in the GDI counterpart, which means they're mutually contradictory.

The problem is that Kane disappears in the last third of the campaign

Another problem is the discrepancy of casualties all three sides receive in the two main campaigns

-It's not as bad in the GDI campaign since they are outnumbered by Nod, so having a higher kill-to-death ratio does give them a chance

-However in the Nod Campaign, Nod continually defeats larger GDI forces using less of their troops

Are you guys going for a Pyrrhic Final Victory for GDI?

-They manage to stop Nod from controlling the world but GDI does die for real

-GloboTech and other Resistance Movements continue the fight and liberate some of the world from Nod

Did all of the leaders of GloboTech 100% agree with the alliance with GDI?

-If not, this could be an opportunity for certain GT elements to defect to NOD!

-Or start a GT civil war (with one side supported by Nod)

I wish the NOD campaign goes for a Total Victory

-Both GDI and GloboTech are crushed

-NOD pushes humanity to colonize space

-The Empire of NOD starts a space war with the Scrin!
