Requires Ares to utilize custom palette. This Touchup recolors the Orbs of the Weather Control Device to glow as opposed to just having them being somewhat shiny green orbs.

Why does it need Ares and a custom palette?
You can cut out the glowing stuff (white orbs and lightning bolts) and set UseNormalLight=yes on the anim.
There is no animated non-glowing stuff on the anim, just complete metal panels that are removed along the seams, so it's no problem to have in the anim the glowing stuff only, which is then simply rendered on top of the building.

The Orbs are Pink in the cutscenes. Not possible with the original palettes.

I made the orbs glow. The User can easily replace them back to certain combinations for the original colors. I did this by replacing the grey glowing sections on the palette to pink/magenta.

Updated the Palette for the Blue Version to use so the darkest blue is more apparent. Looks like this:

wouldn't the light blue
like of chrono teleport anim fit best ?

never understood why WS used pink...
same for mutator SW

I'm assuming its used for WIP Renders or just lazy coding.

As for the palette they're basically the same just the blue versions has a darker blue edited in.

Sorry to bump this, but I've tried using this with the latest version of ARES, coded it as I should and whatnot, added CustomPalette=GAWETH~~~.pal to all the anims, dumped the SHP's and PAL's in a mix, and it's seemingly not reading the PAL's properly.

Any ideas?

Nope, According to the Ares documentation you need "CustomPalette=" on your animations, not "Palette="

CustomPalette is for Animations and Projectiles only. Read the doc again.

ares-developers.github.io/Ares-docs/new/customanimationandprojectilepalettes.html

For structures, you only need Palette tag without .pal extension like Jem's code example.

These are building animations, not animations, they are inherently different Very Happy

Edit: just test out that building animations ignore Palette= on them and just use the building's palette. So basically building animations are parts of the building art.
