Discussing potential a new mechanic for ares
Occupy buildings always change their graphics to fortified when occupied.
I suggest some occupiers to not trigger fortification when occupying.
This way a new type of stealth mechanic can be added.
For example
Infantry>
FortifyWhenOccupying = defaults yes - If set no the infantry occupying the structure will not trigger the fortified frame on the shp, or change the structures remap.
This allows for snipers to hide in cities, requiring players to search for them manually with the mouse, or identify gun fire anims. A big fortification may be suitable for General Infantry, in bunkering down> But not all units would prefer this type of "Give-Away" strategy.
And I say its pointless imo, its already hard enough finding infantry and at least with stealth we have Sensors= to counter it. This would be entirely blind making it practically essential to raise all the buildings in the map as fast as you can. _________________ "Don't beg for things; Do it yourself or you'll never get anything." In a non-short game you have to tear down every single civil building on the map to find the damn hidden sniper to defeat your opponent who disconnects at the very very very last second _________________
