Continuation on the thought of the Angler -


Again, not 100%.

The situation is like this.


Currently - Soviets have a stingray. Basically a tesla tank of the sea. With additionally - all tesla weapons having the ability to remove squid (not terrordrones) only squid.

This is cool. I like this mechanic, But not 100% on the stingray.

Here, if we give the soviets back their squid - predominantly soviet naval strategy doesn't have to change. Except you might build a few coils near you shipyard if youre fighting a soviet player.

With this, Yuri then gets his Angler. His boomer will be put into its original tech level - requiring just the psychic sensor. His angler would come available at battlelab in line with squid and dolphin.

This ------- would be the game.



Choices are tough, to go the ra3 stringray route, and mod basic soviet naval strategy - or literally just keep it the way it is and fix up Yuri.

There is a fine line of doing too much - or going too far.

I am favouring stingray, and change to soviets. Instead of angler, let Yuri have a giant squid at radar, and boomer at battlelab. At least it would be relevant to the name "BOOMER" build lots of refineries and spam the only available submarine. Kinda cool - as Yuri wouldn't be a threat on water until he gets a battlelab, he would only really be good at slowing attacks but cannot actually destroy your shipyard until he gets a battlelab. Coz no doubt he is OP on land once he gets masterminds on the go.  Also his magnetrons are really good shoreline defense, and in general yuri is a defensive side, with even his walls having a buff in vanilla. Nerf his naval strategy to not allow him to actually destroy enemy navy until he has good economy and high tech? Sounds about right I think, considering the squid will have a window of opportunity in which it has no counter on the battlefield, giving yuri supreme dominance in disabling enemy ships and subs (wasting their money) but not actually being able to follow through with an attack on shipyard until next tech, where his squid start to get countered.

New AI Added


More depth on Yuri Squid tactics

Including


New Yuri Squid Attack Sequence + Boomer/Squid Attack Sequence and Team Support.


Also


All sides get a general amphibious transport team. If  AI has built a shipyard the team is highly likely to be used.



Looking at a buff for the soviet stingray, possibly restoring its ra3 secondary attack.




Chrono Tank AI perfected for each side, tested, and working vs each side.

Ethiopia Phase Transport attacks implemented, from general multi unit ambush asssaults - to tactical engineers and crazy ivan squad.



Bounty Hunter now has its own IFV mode (as not seen in the vid)




Looking into expanding on the Amphibious transport idea, by creating a unique amphibious team for each faction (excluding India). I.e Russia sends 4 tesla tanks in a transport, Germany 4 Tank Destroyers :- just something a
little extra unique for each countries AI.

The Norwegian Gap Generator can jam enemy radars and shroud areas of the map.
(maybe replaces gap gen, gap gen can be built like slave miner from factory and buildmenu) This Gap Generator doesnt require power. So why use the old one? --> Reduced gap gen radius.

Egor is the reason to do a story..


I should sit on egypt and norway a while longer, and think about Egor.

Egor can use the angler, and then we can understand where Yuri found out how to control the squid.






Ukraine + Mad Tank Story -
The MAD tank is a heavy effect weapon that utilizes seismic technology mounted on scrap mammoth chasis's from the first great war.
The seismic hammer used is so effective at creating shockwaves that soviet engineers could not design a vehicle strong enough to deliver and withstand its impact in a single unit. Attempts to increase the quality of chasis proved useless as engine parts were still highly vulnerable to damage when firing the weapon. Towards the end of the second war, as the allies grew more powerful and eventually captured Yuri - still in pact with the allies yet with forces running dry - and USSR showing signs of collapse - Ukraine quickly fielded the MAD tank to "even out the playing field" on the view that the soviet union came out of the allied truce financially and militaristically worse off. The MAD tank has been resurrected to amend this issue and would be used on Ukraines European neighbours if a new deal could not be negotiated


China + Cosmonaut Story -
In admiration of the latest soviet achievements in space exploration and their infamous moon landing - the Chinese; who had kept their influence in the war to a minimum due to its trade deals with the allies in the west - now become one of the wealthiest benefactors to the soviet union and proud communist nation; had decided to themselves fund the space agency for their own private use, eventually flat out buying it off the USSR helping Russia to negate some of the financial reckoning caused by the war.
Prepared to aid the war effort if needs be - China trains thousands of cosmonauts for both utility and infantry combat in the vacuum of space - not in hope to achieve war and global domination - but to carry forth the legacy of the soviet union and the people of china deep into the future.



North Korea Story
Following the Allied peace treaty and the rise of Yuri, Soviet forces moved into Korea to defend the blackeagles against Yuri's naval forces on their home soil.
Soviet influence over the Korean people during this period were met with great admiration and respect. Communist ideals soon circulated and it wasnt long before arose a political party with the intent to liberate Korea from Japanese rule that such became known as  - the peoples republic of Korea.
The power stuggle between Allied and Soviet influence over the nation grew ever more fierce with time, and by the time Yuri had been captured heated accusations were being made that the soviet union was deliberately pushing an agenda in korea to destabilize the empire to damage allied relations in the east. Eventually these debates ended with an eventual divide between the North and South and the construction of a wall, and with it came not protection, but even more paranoia.
As the USSR demanded a higher share of post war treaty benefits from the allies - it wasnt long before North Korea decided to take matters into its own hands and decided to do some weapons research of its own where North Korean engineers developed from old soviet designs - The V3 Twin Missile Platform; a two in one unit - the most deadly mobile ranged unit the world had ever seen.


South Africa - Bounty Hunter - Story
Upon discovering suspicious trade activity in and around the islands off the coast of Antarctica, The united states planned several military expeditions  to the area that would investigate the phenomena using South Africa as a launchbase. South Africa had stayed out of the war due to economic and social divide, but had remained a silent benefactor to the allied nations. Suspicious that it was Yuri's forces at work, South Africa saw it as their time to shine on behalf of the Allied Nations and valiantly hosted the united states, allowing them to consturct several military bases on its most southern coast.
Whereas South Africa itself lacked in an organized military capable of overseas combat, they did make up for it in private forces, and although they could not offer a great deal of man power to aid the united states on their expeditions, various contracted killers and infamous hitmen made themsevles available to US forces on a cash for kill basis


Vietnam
Post war tensions between the great powers drove countries apart. With North Korea gaining its independence and Cuba resisting capitalism on the doorstep of the west, the people of Vietnam saw an opportunity to take back land in which corporate America had been ravaging during the war, where they soon formed a highly organized resistance to fight for the cause.
Ancient Tunnel Networks gave Vietnam conscripts the edge in removing American military presence, and soon after Vietnam gained their independence before pledging their allegiance, and forces to china, and the soviet empire.


Ethiopia
Stolen relics from the great war lay dormant in secret underground soviet bases in the heart of Ethiopia. The Ethiopian people had been crying out to the USSR for help in the development and stabilization of their land since way before the second world war, and now that war is over - Ethiopia was first in line for development negotiations.
Long forgotten, Ethiopia demonstrated to the USSR that it had learned how to replicate and manufacture the old Allied Phase Transport. Impressed, Russia sought it only right to use Ethiopia as spy, taking note of recent suspicious US  activity in south Africa. Ethiopia obliged.

Perfecting Chrono Tank Weapon -


Both AA and subjec to cliffs -

Its rockets have a higher payload, with cellspread, but have limited effective range.

Get an idea of primary fire location, and the feel of the unit.

Soviet Changes -----




Replaced newly added Stingray (RA3) with the Ekranoplan Seabay instead - as soviet unique battlelab naval support unit.


The Ekranoplan Seabay is a long flight ranged airpad that supports Ekranoplan Seaplanes of combat class LUN.



The Ekranoplan although void of sensors may target enemy ships  and submersibles (if detected) -- in which is now notified with new EVA "Unit Detected" speech.

THe Ekranoplan has an attack range that rivals that of the aircraft carrier, but its low flight path makes it substantially less effective vs terrestrial units and buildings.

In addition to this - unlike the aircraft carrier and dreadnaut the ekranoplan seabay can be put into guard mode, where it will auto acquire targets in range (like destroyer)


The Ekranoplan delivers a high explosive payload similar to that of the rockets used by the Chrono Tank and Phase Transport, although this time discharging from air to ground. Each plane is equipped with one rocket, that can do substantial damage to a single ship, but then it must return to reload.
The Ekranoplans missile is not homing and may struggle to hit fast units that are moving away from it (kinda like harrier and tank micro)

The Ekranoplane Seabay is one of the most fragile soviet units and must be protected. Yet the Ekranoplan Sea Plane itself sports the highest amount of hitpoints of all spawnable aircraft (sitting at 90 -- from the hornets 75 -- and the ospreys 30)

Unlike its counterparts - Yuri's Squid and Allied Dolphins - The Ekranoplan works best as a defensive unit in which to provide supportive fire to frontlines from a safe and well defended position.
Also unlike its counterparts the Ekranoplan is the most expensive of the tier.
The ekranoplan also cannot be parasited by squid, and is attacked by this unit using conventional methods (squid vs dolphin)

The Ekranoplan Seabay itself can move but is extremely slow (the slowest moving ship/unit  in the game).

The Ekranoplan Warhead is a hybrid of the Torpedo, Phase Rocket and Tank Destroyer. Allowing it to attack all target types, but with a greatly varying effect. The unit is designed to be a ship destroyer.

By default, the Ekranoplan Seabay will not auto acquire targets.

With the removal of the squid from soviet aresenal, soviet typhoon Sensors range increased by +1, originally 7 - now buffed to 8 -(squid had 8, boomer has 8 ) as it is now the only sensors units available to the soviets. For effective usage of Ekranoplan to hold choke points - the +1 sensors range makes all the difference in response time for this unit.

That contradicts the main aspect of the ground effect, which is a low and pretty fast flying.
It's like giving the Kirov a very fast speed. It doesn't fit.

The Plane is a fast moving spawner that flys low to the surface and is treated like and aircraft - The Bay is what spawns it (where it docks) - the boat unit.

The bay can be moved - but it is slow moving. The plane is launched on attack. where it can cover quite a vast distance at good speed. It is confusing because the unit consist of two units - the ekranoplan spawner - that takes off and attacks, and the seabay - in which it spawns from. The seabay to move it is very slow. But the plane has great launch distance so moving it isn't always a necessity.

(not sure a need for firestorm detected so haven't made one) as it is not a direct threat to enemy base and instead a defensive superweapon - detected need not be notified.

Allied Eva needs alot of work - Sophia i think sounds nice, but i do hear that jump in activated, she drops into the word too fast.  Allied i think needs re-doing from scratch.

Hunter Gatherer - Allied Basic Light Infantry.

Excels at combating Mounted Units and War Bears (Rhino Mount --- War Mammoth) Sucks vs Armed Infantry. Stealth at Veteran.
Cash 4 Kills on Animal Units (Hunter Gatherer Eats his Kills, doesn't need much payment, acts tactical + cannon fodder - he worships the allied Legionaires) Armed with basic Neolithic weaponry.



I know its off topic from the mod ^^^^ but lets just throw it out there.

In the timeline of this story the soviets have gained control of the time machine and use it to build an army of ice age monsters in order to take over the world. Smile

The allies are backpedalled, They have extreme contrast of High tech and low tech. While soviets have a familiar arsenal of keepers, rangers and animal trainers.

Nope. Don't be dumb.


1st, the assets mostly suck.

2nd, there are practically no assets (a special unit for each faction only)

3rd I just wanted to play the mod.
