Aro's Music Project
Subject description: Tankard Haus!
Hi PPM. It feels like it has been a long time since I was last on here, despite the fact that I haven't actually gone anywhere, I've relinquished leadership of Twisted Insurrection to Erastus and Crimson as I just don't have the time for it anymore, but that's another story for another day. I just sprung up to show you what I've been doing with my time as of late.
Two friends and I started a band a while ago, but have been dedicating a lot of time to it recently and thus has consumed all of my free time. I thought I'd share it with you, in a sort of shameless plug I suppose, but hey-ho.
Update March 27th 2018: The Tankard Haus debut EP 'Stalkers' has finally been released! The EP itself is free to download unless you chose otherwise!
1. MMXV
2. Stalkers
3. Advance
4. When I Fall
5. MMXV (Artificial Eye Remix)
6. Advance (MjN Remix)
7. When I Fall (Insomnious Remix)
8. MMXV (MjN Remix)
Update May 17th 2018: A new single titled 'The World Belongs To Us' which is a cover of the Industrial legends, Informatik, is available to download for free!
It's sick! I'm just gonna leave my thoughts in comparison between what I think I heard. I appreciate if you took time to read the things below.
Compare to commercial EBM, the tracks more simple and has less usage from mainstream synths/sounds. (Dubstep, Guitars, Orchestral arrangement etc.) Even though it contrasts with the mainstream style, the purity of those usage makes me enjoy more of the simplicity of this style. It still gives out that aggro feel of Twisted Resurrection OSTs, however having more commercialized synths and heavy influences from EBM vocals.
Advance has its own style and is more similar to EBM-Futurepop than traditional EBM. I'd say there's room for improvement and maybe you guys could made an alternative mix for it.
Lease of Life is more oriented to the aggressive EBM we know.
I think MMXV needs more improvement, however. I couldn't determine what I should be enjoying for the song. It has a different theme from the other 2 tracks. The vocals are very Futurepop-ish and purer, that contrasts to the genre of production, leaving me wanting the vocals to have more distortion. The intro is giving of a very anticipating feel but the composition sounds very simplistic, it should have more complexity to it, my opinion, maybe add a little more bass? I mean, maybe its aimed at other audiences but that's just my review. _________________
Hey Aro! If I were you, I'd contribute a lyric-less version to TI!
Also, sad to hear you go. Sorta.

Do bare in mind that thus far what we've shown are only demo snippets and are not deemed as final pieces, shared with the main intention of getting some feedback, but sadly it's hard to get actual input for improvement, friends and followers often just cast a Facebook 'like' instead.
The 'MMXV' snippet is actually quite outdated already, there's an improved version that I'll upload to the Sound Cloud soon, right now we're aiming to finish off the vocals and publish 'MMXV' as our first finished track ('Advance' doesn't count in this case as that's an ancient instrumental version, a mix with vocals is coming).
Regarding 'Lease of Life', that is also quite an early snippet, the vocals you hear in that track are backing vocals only, the main vocals are yet to be recorded, which'll be the same voice as that you hear in 'MMXV'. It's difficult to determine what genre exactly Tankard Haus falls under so I often just label it as "Synth".
Thank you for your input! I'll show more as more comes.

Maybe after we've released our EP, sure. QUICK_EDIT
Hey, Aro, if you can make good music, how come you're not rich and still hanging out with poor sods like us?
BTW, left both a like and a comment on MMXV.
Subscribed too.
@G-E: I see no similarities what-so-ever between Mecha Love (which I'm totally for, btw) and When I Fall. _________________ One and only developer of the Command & Conquer Dune "C&C D" mod.

Being amateur is way different than a professional, he is not in the world of fame like the pop artists. _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .

Being professional has nothing do with being famous. The way a lot of famous people behave is not the least bit professional.

I can play guitar indeed, been good in less than 2 years (default), actually 10 months, it's been since i had it 1.3 years ago, what takes time is preparation and creating a new different track. _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .

Tankard Haus is by no means a money-making scheme, nor do we intend to sell our souls and limbs to try and get famous, we are all doing it purely for the sake of fun and if it happens to go somewhere, then that's a wonderful bonus. I am looking forward to our first live shows!
On a side note, 'When I Fall' is available to download for free via our Bandcamp profile. If you enjoyed it, go ahead and grab it.

This is how it should be. Do it because it's fun.
Sadly, not many think that way.
By the way, here's a tip for your live shows: don't care about the results, or who made what mistakes. Just be yourselves and have fun. You won't screw up then. Trust me on that. _________________ One and only developer of the Command & Conquer Dune "C&C D" mod.

Precisely how my own band feels! Though I myself aim for a music-oriented career regardless of what happens with us.

Yep, and if someone does make a mistake, try not to acknowledge it as a mistake. Most of the time, you can actually just go with it as if it were intended. This works especially well with your own music, as no one should be expecting you to play it exactly the same way every performance. _________________ Tiberium Uprising (a few missions for TS): http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31029 QUICK_EDIT
Our EP is nearly finished, it's taking a damn long time though because of unexpected delays that keep occurring. In any case, we've uploaded a new song to showcase in the meantime! Check out the complete 'MMXV'.
'MMXV' has been released as a single via our website. We were also featured on the latest Communion After Dark broadcast. Thanks for those of you that have shown support, we're making progress, slowly but surely! QUICK_EDIT

Kept forgetting telling that MMXV gives me strong italo vibes, akin to what Digitalo's doing before they went off the train.
So yeah, I like that one. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Indeed it is! I'm everywhere, far away. Late reply, but hey, It's good to see everything here is still active! Very happy to see.
Anyway! I have come back again to inform those of you that may have been interested that the Stalkers [EP] has finally been released! It is free to download unless you chose otherwise, so it will cost you nothing to give it a sample.
Download the EP here. I have updated the first post to include a similar message since all singles are no longer available, only the EP itself.
I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on this if you get a chance. It's been a long journey and hard work but lots of fun in the process.
There is also a YouTube playlist of the complete EP:
Here again doing my shameless plug thing for my little band in hope to get some honest feedback and thoughts. We have just released a new single, a cover even, once again available to download for free, but this time we've included a remix as part of the release too as an added bonus.
So... who's the 'us' the world belongs to now? Foehn, Yuri, Kane or Tiberium? Oh, let me guess: the guys at TI, MO and the other C&C mods ??
