I've been trying to figure out a way to make a voxel turret that animates when it fires, but I have a 2 piece turret because modelling the 2nd piece in other directions would be very hard otherwise. The problem is it only shows the 1st piece on IsChargeTurret, so is there another way to do it or combine it in other directions without having to remodel the whole thing?

I tried that and the turret tilts with the barrel among other issues like it showing above the turret.

The section with the bounds closest to the viewer takes precedence over other sections, generally that means if you have a front half and a back half let's say, you want to make them both have the same "size"...

If the back half is tapered, so you see the front half more (less occluded) then it is worth making the front slightly larger, and shifting where that threshold is.

Another trick you can do is to is design the voxel in such a way that you can have an overlapping section connecting the two halves, something drawn identically in both, so if one shows above the other it doesn't upset the image, but effectively moves any occlusion to a steeper angle.

Hahaha I made a catapult before. It wasn't that hard to draw a tilted object. C&P back'n'forth between VSE and PS/MSPaint/etc and patience should be enough.
