Kadeshi combat
Subject description: Surviving Kadesh forces engage a Kiith S'Jet Carrier taskforce
‘WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE THINGS?!’ she yelled, barrel rolling her Cavalier**-class corvette over to avoid another burst from one.
‘I dunno, boss,’ her gunner, Kieman S’jet, replied, tagging one with the cannon. ‘But whatever the hell they are, they can’t take much,’ he commented as it blew up.
‘Well, contact the Kunan-Leet* & tell them to check the databases for something really fast and small,’ the pilot, Karan S’jet, ordered him.
‘Aye,’ he replied. ‘This is Alpha IV, we’re engaging some sort of.. remote controlled.. fighter.. maneuverable as hell, faster than a probe, roughly same size as one, armed with something with the power of a Shield gun.. You got anything in the databases like that?’ Another one exploded from cannon fire.
‘Give us a second,’ the radio officer told them. Random babble, none of it understandable, filled the speaker. ‘Erm.. there’s something.. but.. they were wiped out when we entered the Great Nebula..’
‘What the hell does that mean? Clarify, please,’ Karan replied. At this, they started retreating. She followed them, another falling to Kieman’s withering fire.
‘Sending info.. now..’ A second later, a hologram of what they were engaging popped up on the console. Kieman read the info that showed up on his console. ‘Swarmers: These agile remote-controlled fighters were first seen in the Great Nebula. The Kadesh demanded that the fleet be abandoned and join them or be destroyed. They refused. All were destroyed in two separate battles. Well-known for their corvette-power weapons and low fuel capacity.’
Two more exploded from fire, and a *large* ship appeared on sensors, the Swarmers heading straight for it.
‘What the hell!?’ Karan yelled, following them. Part of the ship moved down and the surviving Swarmers docked with it.
‘We’re engaging.. something.. large. Requesting some Thunderbolts** or Tempests** on our position please.’
‘Negative, Alpha Four, we’ve got major hostiles on our position.’ The Kunan-Leet’s radio officer replied. ‘What.. the!? Kadesh Multi-beam frigates!?’
‘Goddamnit.. Kill those Swarmers & we’ll head back.’
‘Right..’ Another pair exploded, right under the Fuel Pod, from cannon fire.
‘Alright, we’re done here.’ Karan turned around sharply and headed for the Kunan-Leet.
‘Kunan-Leet, this is Alpha Four, we’re bingo fuel, coming back.’
(*Kunan-Leet is a Kiith S’jet carrier. And yes, I DID make that up.)
