In c&c, ra, ra2, etc we use to play huge lan parties and edit the game so that everyone can build everything and train everything, etc.

Can this be done in Gen/ZH?

Yes, units have a property called Side.


Helix sample wrote:

Yer I did notice that. But how exactly do I make everything for everyone?

I tried setting it to say China, GLA, America but that does not seem to work.
Whould it work if i cleared the side =? Comment it out or something?

It's a pain in the *ss if you ask me.
Because you have to change the commandmap.ini or something.
Everything a building/dozer can build is put down there.
And also I think that it doesn't fit in the controlbar, if you give china war factory USA vehicles.

Maybe an old post for ya, but if u still ain't knowing it.

Idea Just make the China- and USA Dozer To built in the Armsdealer/Warfactory?

That's the easiest way to handle all units/buildings e.d

Other way which maybe works is that yo do this:

And at last,
What Fellshyun said, that u'll have to edit 'CommandSet.ini'
or else they won't show up in-game. to do this isn't hard so u will figure out how, (i hope #Tongue)

You'll have to make workarounds by giving the structures the "Fake Building" CommandButton. #Tongue It's also relevant so this cannot be a flamable bump #Tongue

I did that to allot of times, but i didn't played it for a long time (last time was, when this Topic was post:P).
So that is a option 2 #Tongue

P.S: If u look now on Google (example) u can find a mod with this Subject (or however u say it in English #Tongue )

I have an answer for this, although I'm not sure how useful it would be.

In playertemplate.ini add startingunit1 = <the chinese construction dozer's object name>
and
startingunit2 = <GLA>

You'd need to remove the prerequisites, and change command sets on all buildings. The side tag is used for world builder.
