I have been trying to unlock the FPS cap in C&C3, with no luck. Tried extracting the ENTIRE misc.big file, changing the FPS cap to no and setting the cap to 999. Then I "recompiled" the .big, renaming the old one and naming the edited one to misc.big (old file name).

What am I doing wrong?

This is the first time I am trying to edit .big file (sorry)

Does anyone have an edited misc.big file that removes the FPS cap?

Thanks!
Evan

Everything is wrong. You don't need to change any .BIG file that comes with the game. Only add yours.

The tutorial below was made for the demo:

There aren't many differences between the demo and the final game. Of course, the .BIG file that gamedata.ini is located is different and the SkuDef file is different. The rest works in the same way.

Thank you for a quick response. Are there steps for the release version?

Not yet, because I don't have the game. I might get it this week or next week, I guess.
