Out in the Open depicts an arctic warzone.

:: Story ::
This region of the world was once an isolated place where the Second Red War did not reach. It is relatively untouched, but the US Army did manage to set up several outposts in the area. Following the 2nd Red War and the Allies' abuse of Weather Control technology, horrific climate changes caused tempatures to go far below 0 during the Winter months. Several parts of the rivers running through the area freeze over, making pathways. The tracks left by evacuating civilians and military forces still scar the landscape, even after ten years. 2 ghost towns, and an isolated outpost remain of the area. This area was the also the site of a 1996 plane crashing involving 4 transport craft. It was rumored that the survivors are still alive today.

:: Map Info ::
Size: 115 x 86 (map preview distorts this ALOT)
Theater: Snow
Terrain: Relatively even, somewhat obstructed in areas. Water is plentiful.
Resources: 600k (this is SS only)
Gameplay Type(speed, favors): Normal, Attacker

:: Features ::
Several tech buildings
Abandoned towns
Airplane crashsite
Center island has a capturable bunker that will act as ground control.

Should be nice to play.

But perhaps if you add some water to the lower part of the maps, so ships can travel from one side to another - that would be usefull.

No need for that, as the rivers look as if they're not large enough to support yards and naval fighting period.

Detail is nice, just, top left seems a bit out of luck on build space. Perhaps some work on that would prove better.

Actually, they look quite big enough for a naval yard + a decent-sized navy. For defence only, yes, but w.e.
