I'll have to dissent and say I don't like the terrain as much as the original RA2, it looks to lack contrast IMO. Few of the cameo backgrounds could be better too, I'd generate them in terragen or something and composite onto them when you render. There are plugins and other software to help you camera match between terragen and 3DS Max. QUICK_EDIT
This may sound stupid, but what i really love in that picture are the slopes, cause they are noticable, but also blend in well, so they don't stick out too much, unlike most of the WW slopes... Immense stuff! QUICK_EDIT

Ok well I havent done to much of anything to this mod in a little wail, because I am busy with school and other things. But from time to time I do work on it.
I have decided to release a public alpha for a few reasons.
#1: I am so tied up with college work that I have a very limited time to work on any of this stuff. So it would be a wail before I actually finish this mod, as there is still alot to do with mod.
#2: People always ask me when im going to release some of my new GFX's releasing well as I have stated many times im gonna hold off on releasing any more GFX's tell this mod is done. So just to show were im at so for, I went with a public alpha.
Remember this is an alpha. this is far from balanced or perfect. There are alot of little errors and slip ups... but i have yet to find an IE...

i love this mod its well done just the soviets are a bit unbalanced there quickly killed by Yuri and the Allies but i like the Allies and Yuri there very well done but some of the models could use a touch up but part from that its well done looking forward to a new release QUICK_EDIT

yeh i realy like the terrain too and with train tracks its a must have i always woundered why westwood didn't put the rain and tracks in the original game? any way can't wait for next release i hope u includ all they's new features QUICK_EDIT

I used about 25, and that filled a map 100x100. And i don't get any lag, and the laptop i play on isn't the greatest. So it works very well.

Yes the rain animation is by Gamemate. And no... sorry I wont hand out his work. If you want to use it you have to get it yourself.

Thanks! But there is a problem with the tracks as they are... As they are just tiles and not overlays... Witch has a slight problem... May go back some day and make them overlays... But when i first tried it didn't seem to work... SO oh well tiles are fine with me for now.

Mechs that are made out of voxels have the problem that only 1 section can cast a shadow, and because a mech is made out of multiple parts, it displays a partional or no shadow
