A small checklist for ya:
-do you have TS/FS installed?
-did you move the game after you have installed FinalSun?
-did FinalSun started before?

Is one have TFD? If so, install patch 1.02
Is one have normal TS? if so, reinstall...

Don't see why you need the patch for TFD in this problem...
I Had TFD... And FA2 and FS worked perfectly fine for me...

Because TFD messes up some registry stuff on some Pc's I believe. Installing the TFD shortcut installer will also solve the problem. http://xhp.xwis.net/utilities/XCC_TFD_Shortcut_Installer.exe
