I converted a map from SP to MP, but then there are certain annoying tile height things that piss me off to no limit. How do I get the whole map to lower by a field? Oh, and change map height tool didn't help. Just to clarify, I want to lower the rest of the map, not raise the stray tiles at the bottom. See pic.

Change map height should have worked. You might have to even those bottom tiles and make sure they're at the lowest height you want. Assuming it's the grey-blue tiles, you'd need to raise the light brown/tan ones up. Then the change map height tool would work.

Least, that's always what I'd have to do.

I tried that, the change map height tool only allowed me to raise the map, not lower it.

hmmm interesting it always worked for me. Can you tell me the height of those single tiles on the bottom? If they are indeed height of 0 then thats why you can't lower your map height. In order to do that you will have to use the 'raise single tile' tool on each and every one of those which would be a pain in the arse.

Even if I raise up the tiles on the bottom, the map height still won't lower.

What did you set the initial height of the map to be when you created it, because if it was 0 you wont be able to lower it.

It was zero, but even if I copy and paste it to another map with a higher starting height, I still can't lower it.

I know what yer problem is.

You're not wanting to touch those tiles on the bottom of the screenie. You need to first raise those tiles, then use the Change Map Height tool. You should be able to use the Raise Single Tile tool to get them level, then lower it as far as it will go.

That should help out, if not, I can take a crack at it. Just send via PM if that doesn't help.

I'd send it to you, but I have some custom terrain on there. Don't worry about it, I'll just deal with the map being a few fields higher than I'd like it.
