TFD on Vista
Halp pls. I'd like to play C&C 2, RA2, and YR online. ;_;
However, clicking the Internet button renders this lovely message. Yes I tried reinstalling and the WOL Shared Internet Components file is there.

What is this C&C 2 you speak of? I have never heard of it before. Is it some expansion to TS? Last edited by Oshog on Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:58 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
TFD works perfectly fine for, if I was you I would try to install each game one at a time, first ra2 without YR, and see if that works.
It may have something to do with XWIS being the server now and not westwood. (speculating) if you have the original ra2/ts/yr disk, try installing that, copying the shared internet componets somewhere (after you got all the patches and are able to play online) then unistalled the game, reinstalled TFD, and use the shared internet components that worked to copy paste over TFD ones.
Far fetched=yes, likely to work=no _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
In my experience, its the registry values. Where TFD uses new ones, and moves folders around, sometimes it has problems detecting the WOL components. If you install 1.02, it should work fine. QUICK_EDIT

Ok. I patched it upto 1.02(Yes I used 1.01 first, morons).
Same message.
Re-installed everything to see if something was wrong there.
SAME THING.
Oh God help pls. I checked the registry and the registry points to the folder that the Westwood Shared Internet Components are in...so..wtf. _________________ PPM's Reichstrollfuherer, 236th Trollenparties brigade. QUICK_EDIT
Hi guys, im having the same prob and wondered wether the first message after using the BAT file is right. It comes up with "The Module "WOLAPI.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80020009." The second message was the sucesful one. Is this ok? _________________ Civilian Airbourne Division.

I doubt that's ok... somethng definitely went wrong there :-\
80020009 seems to be a problem with permissions... are you running as administrator?
