The SSIA Cruise Missile Platform, class 'Sledgehammer', is a siege warship in service with the SSIA Naval Branch. Similar to the 'Resilient' Class Battlecruiser, the 'Sledgehammer' Class is post time-transfer, and designed to operate in blue-water naval combat situations.

The SSIA Cruise Missile Platform is extremely effective in the role of indirect combat, with its far-sweeping radar capable of picking up and engaging targets at an extreme range. Once it has found its target, the 'Sledgehammer' class can then launch a CM-42 Cruise Missile at it, which is an area-effect anti-structure weapon. Despite the effectiveness of the radar system of the CMP, the CM-42 is launched at the location of the target, not at the target itself.

The CM-42 is not overly effective on troop concentrations, and some anti-aircraft systems have shown the capability to even shoot down the missile; SSIA Engineers say this is unlikely- the incredibly compact and dense, armored shell of the missile can resist more damage than some aircraft frames.

The CMP's main weaknesses however, stem from the design of the ship itself. Despite torpedo-shields, composite steels and various countermeasure systems, the hull of the vessel is very vulnerable to attack, especially from the air. The far seeking radar is not designed to engage targets close to the vessel, meaning that smaller and faster warships can spell destruction for the 'Sledgehammer' class.
