Hey, does anyone know off the top of their head how DTA's Chinook Transport works? Similar to RotD's, I guess?

How does this relate you ask, well before you post that question, they're (the Orca Transport & Chinook Transport) both identical in purpose, they're both TS units. If one works, the other can.

If I remember correctly, DTA's Chinook transport uses the Carryall=yes tag.

IRC if the ORCATRAN is already on the map and you steal it using the Hijacker it may work normally.

thanks!!! i added the tag and it works fine, now it does not spin in the air like a crazy person flying it and is somewhat usable lol but for the record that's exactly what i was looking for, and in my opinion its even better hell i even gave it light infantry gun (without ammo ) so it isn't armless.

but of course theirs always the slight glitch, when you deploy the infantry it does it one by one, it literally goes down un-deploys a single troop goes back up and repeats until no more troops are inside but thats ok i guess at least im able to use it.

give it a dummy weapon with 0% against everything with ammo=999999999999999999999999999999999
and pip=passengers
Then it can just be an orca style unit and infantry won't paradrop or anything. In fact I have the urge to try this, BRB.

such a kick ass find!!! ok so i added ammo=9999 put it up to hold 10 passengers and i discovered "The New Drop Pod/Air Attack Mix"






when the transporter attacks with its light infantry gun on top of that the infantry inside the ship para shoot down (with an actual para shoot) and really fk it up impressively fast

id see if it would work for jumpjets and they glide down shooting Smile and now i ask the question WTF westwood! why did they cut that out, i think we all now know the true intentions of the orca transporter



Test 2, taking it to the next step seeing how perfect this works for light infantry and jumpjets id try engineers, snipers, meds, ghost.

no doubt it worked and kicked ass





i love new findings! im gonna keep on trying new things i can do to improve this for my map
