RA2:YR Not Detecting DVD

Simple problem, I can't get Yuri's Revenge to run because it cant find the TFD disk even though its in the drive. I have tried reinstalling but that did not work. Are there any solutions to this beyond nocd fixes?

Do you have a .iso file of Ra2 or Ra2:Yuri

If you have that file, just download Daemon tools then Mount it...

It is NOT a pirated version, I own a legal copy of The First Decade which has Yuri's Revenge on it. I don't need to mount it and promoting pirated software will get you banned.

Besides, if you look for 3 seconds, I already have Daemon tools installed.

install the 1.03 TFD patch

It allows you to play all the games with out the DvD so should fix that problem

I tried the TFD 1.03 patch, but afterward, I had too much grief playing it online. Mainly it gave major Recons and couldn't host or transfer maps.

I had a similar problem - YR seems to work if you go the the directory and launch it directly from "YURI" there Confused

. It worked for me, I don't know whether it would help here, or why.

Well god damnit, it worked. I have been using ra2md.exe and that has been working for the longest time. Thanks for that.

The 1.03 patch adds a network dll (wsock32.dll) to both TS and RA2 that makes its LAN work without IPX, but which also seems to cause trouble online. Remove or rename that file to fix the multiplayer problems.
