Subject description: Hey guys, it actually kinda exists.
Well, there is a reason it is here. It is technically dead, but alive in the form of concepts (although, not much more). The story will be a bit different from where other mods try to work with. So, without farther ado, here we go:
Corporations: Important bastards who are indeed, important in this world.
9 Industries:
9 Industries is a leading corporation within civilian, millitary, and other hardware. Their technology can be found within any house, including ones, long before the war. From a clock to a car - your electronics are likely to be somehow related to 9 Industries. Their factories and headquarters are located all across the globe - and not only do they use state of the art robotics - but provides thousands of new civilian jobs, every year.
Not only does the corporation supplies large ammounts of hardware to anyone who pays enough (including both sides of the conflict) - they also provide, special electronics, which is of interest to certain minds. Xelatlu is one of the main competitors of 9 Industries, within the millitary field. Available to anyone with enough money, Hunter-Seeker units can be costumized to the particular need of the costumer. GDI uses lighter, cheaper, but revealing "Scout" version, while brotherhood spends large sums of money for the invisible and destructive "Revenge" version of it. No civilian contracts for those weapons were yet to be made. A few prototype factories and control centers were abandoned due to recent events, but it is possible to scavenge working copies in those locations.
Xelatlu
Xelatlu are one of the first companies to enter the scene of cybernetics with full-fledged, Brain To CPU interface. Not only that, but their biological experimentations, while trivial, were well-known and famous throughout the world. Their famous Sea-Kittens (originally, a sarcsastic jab at the PETA), have allowed for unlimited research within this area, as it became clear that the consumer have something to look forward to.
Due to relatively small number of fully loyal soldier, at its humble begining, Nod was one of the main investors of the company. The advances within the Cybernetic Organism Research and Weapon Research allowed for Nod to create a number of prototype Cybernetic Platforms. From those prototype, one was chosen for its greater survival rate and mission success. This prototype derived from the S.H.I.E.L.D. research program, augmented with the Xelatlu advancements, creating CBU-01, the first in the line of Cybernetic Battle Units. This line would advance up until the present day.
GDI however works with Xelatlu within the areas of research, including genetics, weaponry, and tiberium research. It must be noted that despite the past few years were of great relationship between Xelatlu and GDI, the extending relations with Nod, made this alliance weaker.
