We had a game today out of the blue, and here are some pics chronicling the epic battle between Lt and Dutchy as they slugged it out to see who was king of the spam (Dutchy).

But if there is one thing to saw about us testers of IC, it's that we like to turtle. And Spam. Ands Spam some more. Atleast we don't rush.

DaFool-Ra2 Sovs
Aro-Ra2 Allies
vs
Dutchy-Ra1 Sovs
MT-Ra2 Allies

In this epic battle of epic proportions, we had it all: spam, turtling, mass rocketeers... MT took the early lead by establishing an outpost near by base, and using mass destroyers was able to own the seas as my UP subs cluttered the bottom of the sea. By building Grand Cannons and lots of defenses he created a strong line and controlled the choke points to his base. I was able to overrun his first outpost and by turtling my base I defended myself from the relentless harrier strikes and kept the destoryers at bay. Aro was able to get a strong economy up and massed tanks down the middle and get the rockies int production, feilding (or sky-ing?) a massive army. While my attacks against MT proved unsuccessful, I got a naval yard up my aro's base and began building a dreadnought fleet, protected by Aro's Aegis cruisers. Dutchy, who had created a strong defensive line and was holding the middle with his division of mammoth tanks, was unable to strike back at the dreadnough/aegis fleet, and his first base fell. Once his power was down Aro unleashed the rocketeers who mowed down anything painted red. Dutchy had one last move up his sleeve though, and sent a combined Hind and CHinook-filled-with-telsa-troopers attack into the heart of Aro's base. Rockies were quick to the scene and support by seige chopters stood strong. Dutchy was defeated. A surprise manouvure by MT attempted to surround the fleet, which at that point had no naval protection, but quick moves by our air force neutralized the threat. The battle was over.

I think me and DaFool had it won to be honest, a good 20,000 Rocketeers and Mirages were lurking. Brilliant match though, I enjoyed every minute of it.

No pictures to back most of the story, as I forgot to run FRAPS.

Me, Dafool, and Dutchy fought against 5 Medium AI RA1 Soviet bots. We expanded out as far as possible, and started cranking out troops a bit too late. Shenanigans ensued, as we got literally overrun. I was forced to use MCVs to fight off the enemy waves. Actually, my MCVs caused the most casualties, of all of my troops. Well, I got overrun, then Dafool and Dutchy ran off with me, to regroup.

On the second game, we took a more defensive approach (which, considering AI sending such a variety of units, was tough to set up correctly). I built up a combined forces of sentry guns, infantry-filled bunkers, and tesla coils. After a number of initial onslaughts, AI started to flank my positions, sending troops through Dutchy's base! Luckily, I was able to intercept the diversions through careful twinblade spam. The same twinblades were used to eliminate the rest of the enemy forces.

Dutchy also built up a number of sentry guns, but mostly used tanks to fight the incoming armor. He provided air support, and once the waves became more sparse, attacked the enemy on the right side.

Dafool was rather offensive, and instead of building defenses, created an army of Lasher and Gatling tanks with which he kept the enemy back. Virus was also of assistance. After making enough Floating Disks, he went on a infantry-melting rampage. Then they were shot down by the rocket troopers.

Anyway, after combined mass effort of turtling and destruction, the AIs were defeated. And mind you, they only used 5 types of units, out of entire Soviet arsenal. It will only get worse. But hey, good AI never hurt.

I was actually the soviets and dutchy was yuri. The enemy seemed to focus in on you, and your defensive line really held out well. I had a small fraction of the whole attacking me (but I led the charge and knocked off the first ai, dammit!). I have a hunch that it may be because you were the ra3 soviets, and the ai was made to recognize your unit? Anyways, it was a good fight.

So, you tell me, the AI has a conspiracy against me?

We also gotta try this on less campable maps.
