So I've got this bridge, right.. But my units don't walk on top of said bridge, they walk on the ground underneath it/inside of it.. ideas what i'm missing here?

Some of the bridges aren't coded properly and only serve as map props.

What bridge is it exactly?

Use the ones located in:
ByNativeType/Civilian/Structure/

Bridge 1
Bridge 1a
Bridge 2
Bridge 2a
Bridge 3
Bridge 3a

for a reliable setup.

Try 1a. And be sure that each end of the bridge is on level terrain.
