Hey, guys I have managed to complete the GDI campaign (Now that was challenging) but have been having chronic trouble with the third Nod mission, destroying the GDI walker plant. IMHO I think it is a tad odd that Nod, the dominant power in the world, can't afford to fly in a little more than a few tanks to support what has to be waves and waves of infantry. I lost count of how many times I built up a simply enormous infantry force to deal with the GDI base, only to be haplessly repelled by 8 of those MG walkers who cut swathe through my men. Maybe there is a map secret I'm missing, or am I not alone here?

I had the same problem, I tried it on different difficulty levels.
Finally, I don't know what happened but AI stopped launching attack waves (trigger bug maybe?) and I could finish the mission.
But why only use infantry when you have to face mechs that can kill a trooper with a single shot. By the end it's a little ridiculous with hundred of Nod casulties resulting in a pitiful victory.

I think that GDI walkers are a little too strong vs infantry who haven't time to shoot before they're killed.
Flamers ( area effect ) need two shots to kill a trooper...maybe the same should be true for GDI's Kazuar.

I don't understand why this problem is occurring for anybody considering that the map itself no longer has active AI triggers.

You're still having problems? The best thing I can suggest to you is to get your Eclipse Tanks elite before even trying to launch an attack at the enemy, that way you can easily defend yourself from any oncoming Kazuars. Incinerators, Tank Hunters and all the vehicles you have at your disposal, you also have two Engineers in your base, remember that Nod engineers also double as Hijackers, so capturing the oncoming Mammoth Tank with one of those instead of repairing the bridge will give you a huge helping hand. If you don't succeed in capturing the Mammoth, then two GDI Medium Tanks are just as useful.

I was playing this and i found if you destroy their War Factory, they train infantry that run near the tiberium refinery, and the AI cannot reconstruct the WF as their own infantry are in the way. After this, destroy their barracks and place some of your own units on the site it was previously on and the enemy no longer have any production facilities! just hold the spot where the barracks was at and youve practically won. (just make sure not to kill troops near the refinery preventing the WF being built or place your own troops here to stop it too) Destroy the con yard and you've won! I won the mission this way after about an hour! (whoopee!!) (my fingers hurt after typing all this and i don't think i was amazingly clear in my description but hey, it might help) Wink

I won that mission with team of incinerators on Normal difficulty. It's not that hard. When You see incomming spam of Disc throwers just flank them with two incinerators.
