Someone has returned from the dead...
Looks familiar, no?
It's Daz's RA2 to RA1 mod, ripped by oztronix. Coincidently, he did it before. I now call on all PPM members to flag his mod on ModDB. Should bring it down rather soon.
And while we're at it, perhaps we could get his profile banned from ModDB too by reporting it... QUICK_EDIT
Check my reviews on ModDB. He'll never learn, but I doubt anybody is stupid enough to actually pay for that hideous rip-fest he calls a mod. QUICK_EDIT
I've already reported both his mod/profile but we'll see if that's any use. Even if he's not technically ripping assets from other mods anymore he's still breaking ModDB Terms of Use by removing other people's comments for no real reason apart from insisting that they're 'abusing him and his mod' while it's just pointing out obvious facts. Not to even mention that he's commercially distributing material that he does not have rights for.. QUICK_EDIT

Thanks, for the concerns, but we just launched
the initiative that all modders on MODDB
should be able to sell their modding work.
And, re: v 1.4 - I was lured to believe that content
from 1.4 is free, and now is cleaned out, and we did
all from the scratch, our own stuff there, v 1.5 now.
We do sell only part of our work in it, not illegal.
Follow what we do, with your mods, it's time.
Make one step, and change history, we did.
(not a big deal, as long as disclaimer specifies
exactly what they are paying for, and what not).
(Our fee is mainly for server mantaining and backup fees,
and our work done on the mod). Not for Westwood
content, and game installer states that clearly.
Also: just contacting EA to give the permission to
all moders on MODDB to sell their made modes.
While we promote this new idea, to remove this
boundary imposed on modders - you guys abuse us.
Let me know if your mod installer will be ever for
sale, and, we will buy one to support you.
What you guys from Revora, and PPM don't understand:
we are not the enemy, but: quite contrary: we have the
ideas, and stand for them.
Best with your mod, let us know the sale link when ready.
You want to really help the community ? Start selling
your mods, and let the world know that once in your life
you believed in something better for the modders.
