How do I play TI online?

I used the CnCNet method, but nobody was on when I checked. Next time, nobody, and the next time I check, it's still a ghost town. Am I just unlucky, or do people normally play on a pre-scheduled time?

There are people online at CnCNet quite rarely. The best way for playing is asking some other players on MSN (or another IM program) if they'd like to play, and arranging a game that way.

Also, if you have a router or a firewall, those might block the connection to CnCNet and you won't see anyone online.
