Command & Conquer (TD) Eve of Domination Add-On
Just been looking for a copy of C&C TD 95 edition and this thing cropped up.. aparantly its claimed to be an extremley rare add-on for C&C TD. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
The pic shown looks official, and it isnt the first time either that Westwood had released something for C&C TD that didnt make widespread popularity, eg C&C Survivor. Gona get this regardless (bidding at $0.05) yet anyone else heard of this mystery add-on pack?
It had me fooled, i looked at the CD before i read Seaman's message, i noticed that after he said that. _________________ -TheWOLPRO

Well the very few sites that have any info regarding this do say it is a C&C addon.. may not be by Westwood yet they all say its an addon for TD. QUICK_EDIT

And yes I can confirm that this is a huge addon disc, with quite sizeable amounts of C&C singleplayer missions and multiplayer maps. Havent had much time to test many of them but this is essentially a ton of levels the world left behind.
You may not think this is much of a big deal, however many of these missions and levels arent even around on the extremly scarce TD sites that are left! QUICK_EDIT
i decided to check this out by seraching out 'actura entertainment' on google
well, no homepages
but well well, look here
Actura Software, and its distributor, Digital Entertainment, was one of those midnight outfits that copies a bunch of free stuff off of the internet and puts it on a CD-ROM for retail sale, but they took the idea to a new low. What Actura did was to deliberately wipe out all of the readme and text files that level authors include with their BSP files to tell a little about the level, give their name, email address, copyright notice, distribution terms, and whatever else they want to say. People got pretty furious about it, and a web page dedicated to exposing Actura was born. Head Games Publishing followed up a little later by ripping off a whole bunch of level authors, including myself, in another net-scraped disc, Tremors. Westwood Studios hired some lawyers to chew their balls off, for a ripoff of another disc containing some C&C stuff. A number of level authors in the Quake community laughed at Head Games' well-deserved misfortune
yes, they have no more balls, so everything in there was probably from C&C, hope u didnt bid like 20 bucks for it....
and further searches revealed that map makers had something against actura, in their readmes(somehow on the web, go search "actura software"), they bash actura in the face
So what if its surrounded in controversy. Its like a missing link in modding history. Not sayin I believe in what they did, yet whats on it is rare, and most of them have original readmes still. To me its like a complimation disc of archived files, tru they shouldnt be for sale, yet if they werent on these discs they would be lost with nearly every other map/file of TD. QUICK_EDIT
