How can I extract 3d models and textures from C&C3???

First, TW (and onwards) use W3X instead of W3D, so that won't work anyway.
Second: to extract the TW assets, you need the Big Extractor tool, and then extract the files you want with the Asset Extractor. You should be able to find those tools by a quick Google search, or a search on the forums.

OK, I have Big Extractor Tool, now please could you tell me in what .BIG can I find the W3X models and its textures? And what program I see them with?

OK, I downloaded W3X viewer, it's on the C&C3 Mod SDK package, now I don't have any W3X file to view... none of the .BIG files contained them... are they in .DAT files? How can I see the files inside of them?

Thank you a lot, I've been able to extract images from C&C3 but...
I extracted all the models and textures from Raider Tank (Scorpion Tank), but the W3X viewer doesn't work, instead I get a XML validation error message. How do I fix this?

XML error fixed Smile
But I extracted all Hierarchy, Mesh, Container and Texture files but I can just view the 3d models with no textures, and if click on the Missing Textures icon, the filenames given are already extracted at the same folder.
What should I do to see the textured models?

Finally I extracted all the assets and nothing happens, I can't see the 3d models textured, some W3X files tell me that there are textures missing, but the textures are already there!!!!

You also have to load the XML files of the textures with the W3X Viewer. Textures are not loaded just because they are there.

One year passed and still null reply.
I think this is an example why CnC3 modding become less encouraging over time. Sad [I hope I am wrong].

I myself still couldn't use that viewer. Nothing seen at all. muah.. haha. ha ha. (laughing at self)..

Imp_Rulz mentioned to me before someone had already rigged the CNC3 Assets, You could have just taken it from there.
