What do you think PPM should focus on the most?

I think it needs news posted, a lot more frequently. And needs more competitions with better prizes. Im sure between all the active members we can come up with some decent prizes.

Well mod leaders already have their own news up so I dont think we need that mirrored particularly. I don't see a slight lack of global site news as an issue when people most likely dont even view the front page.

If Banshee wouldnt mind, I'd be a fulltime news poster. I mean I'm here several times a day, everyday. I also visit several other sites frequently throughout the week too. So, I guess it's up to him.

Yes, anyone can post news. But for it to show on main page and all you need special access privilages. It says I'm not allowed to post in SiteNews.

good and funny Mods and maps (SP ones specifically XD), they are things i don't really see for public (not as much as vlx's and shp's at least).

Also, i know it's harder to make and all, but public tools are really cool, and help people stay in the community and being more productive, IMO.

Back in the day there were no prizes. If you were very, very lucky there might be a custom rank.

Damn I remember the old days of the mapping contests, I think these days most competitions died because not many people really entered. Though even I would enjoy to see a mapping contest again, something to liven up the community a bit, currently I feel the mods post all their own news in their forums and on ModDB and if you're lucky, a news poster will feature several mods in a newspost, otherwise all other news seems from other forums / sites.

What I really want to see here is more "({[Active]})" Members, mostly it's around 20 working in each category of this site, and the most I saw online was like 12 or so, which makes me wonder: What was ppm like when it was 255 members online?, or is it just a gag?.

There usually is a contest right about this time of year. But contests just dont seem to be the thing anymore. The last 2 or 3 have resulted in very little participation. If only 2-4 people join a contest, then it really isnt worth the time and effort. Theres always people saying "I'll enter" but when it's all said and done hardly anybody submits anytrhing, so.... Confused

What should PPM focus on?

I'm still a strong advocate for an archive system for organizing our assets.
We have a lot of good stuff, but it all gets forgotten about and underrepresented, unless some noob happens to come along and bump one back to the top.

Almost every time I read through a topic with people saying " We want a contest " I end up thinking... Why the hell don't they make one Themselves, am just going to make a test around to myself here, I actually tricked Orac into acting like a judge for a building I was going to release for the public, my results were fine:
(2 out of 6).
