Azure Sands mission

I have no clue on how to finish this, you dont get many reinforcements after the first set of fixed force you receive except for the few tanks and a group of nod infantry at the ruined GDI base near the broken rail bridge.

After that you rush to the Base to the west...which is suddenly attacked by GDI and you have no way of pulling your men back as you have no control, my units essentially walk into the oncoming GDI and get wasted.

I have replayed this mission a number of times Microing and being annhilated, rushing and getting to the wait for the coordinates part then suddenly get converged by ALL the enemy units and I can't seem to finish it, south is filled with scattered infantry veinholes and tibreium floaters and Bugs...north has a massive army of GloboTech tanks waiting to cut you to pieces.
Then even if you make it past it all and still have men, then you have to wait forever to get the evac coordinates then all your units die.

How do I approach this? Is the mission half complete?

In essence this mission is impossible for me to complete, am I missing something here?

I usually take the bottom route, never crossing to the side that was once a GDI base. Once I get to the Airbase that gets attacked, I take the same route back, while avoiding GDI forces. Not until too long, I get the notification of an evac zone, which is also best approached via the bottom of the map.

You can beat this mission with 1 Flame tank. Just make it elite.
Do not kill Veinholes ( http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Veinhole_Monster )
They are very helpful to kill stupid GDI walkers.

Never mind, found a way. You just need to mount up some of the infantry in two APCs and just cover them as you move them toward the veinhole closest to the base in force, send one trooper down the bottom most part of the map and reach the tiberium field halfway, watch the cutscene rush south ward. And wait for 10-15 seconds until coordinates are sent through then boom you will see reinforcements, get atleast one unit to them.
