Absolutely, positively not a fan of Yellow Flora spam. Especially next to rocks and downwards elevation changes. The number of man-killing bugs is a bit too much and the environment feels a bit bland (but it's a desert, so that shouldn't matter). I do like the placement of tech buildings, especially the artillery bases next to all bases.

It's a good addition to the mod, albeit the desert theme is too repetive. Although I liked the visuals of the other entry more (lol, I forgot it's name), it had far too many pathfinding issues.

Yeah, the yellow flora look like crap, some with poorly drawn shadows while others have none. And we all know they're just cut & pasted from certain concept art.

I mostly agree with that statement.
The Yellow Flora being used so much ruins the visual detail of the map IMO. and there does appear to be quite a bit of critters on the map although that's really not a big problem as only AI's would allow it to hold them up or destroy stuff in their base.

The layout is more intricate than some, but...I can't shake the feeling it is also based off of an image or something. But if it is based off an image then it's more well done than some of the other image based ones in TI.

I see the yellow fona isn't very welcomed. Well, what can I say... I tried to do something different, something alien-like to fit the Traveler theme. Meh. There are some problems in the overall detailing, but I was in a hurry when I finished it (due to the deadline) and didn't revise it later.


The most fun I get from mapping is carefully crafting a reference into a map. So aside some remakes, all of my maps will contain some. #Tongue
Nothing like Midnight Fury or EVErgrowing infestation anymore, though, I've learnt to be more subtle. Subtle enough so I can safely show a wip map layout and people see nothing xD
Also, I have a reputation to uphold as the one who makes maps look like things! Laughing
