Reminds me a little of the TW map Crater of Carnage. Exept that the city should be everywhere but in the crater. #Tongue (and 4p map)

I don't really like how the left side slope looks, it looks, in a lack of a better word, artificial.

Infested water feels incredibly blocky. Other than that, I love the chaotic feel of desert's LAT.

Pretty sure this is a remake of an RA2/YR map that had an ore field in the middle that also was irradiated.

You're thinking of Sinkhole, but no, this map is not based on or a remake of it.

I put $5 on that water draining into that city pit of doom before the next sun rise....
oh wait..my bad time never passes on the maps it's only simulated.

if playing this with the AI, I'd assume Start positions 1 & 3 would engage in battle before start position 2 would get attacked. It just seems a good bit further away than the distance between the other two.

oh and looking at the updated, I see a black spot on the slopes at the bottom centerish area of the map to the left of the blue tiberium patch which looks like either a slope error or just one of those annoying graphic glitches that happens on the higher heights occasionally. Though the height at which it is would suggest it's an error.

and why does Start Position 1 have a green tib field complete with tib tree behind the base location? He doesn't appear to be further away from the pit of doom than the other players. The other players only have a blue tib field kinda between their bases on the outside of the pit.

I noticed this too. It can't be the latter because the slope is at around level 9 or so. This means it's probably a slope error, but when I look at it in the editor it looks just fine and shouldn't have any errors. I'm a bit baffled by it..

Because I don't like making symmetrical maps where every starting location has the same advantages. I'll rather mix the situation up by giving the starting locations different advantages, possibly resulting in some of them being slightly better locations than the others. I believe this makes the gameplay more interesting, unless it's some kind of official match or other serious business. Razz

To me it looks like a shroud clipping error. These happen in TS fairly frequently, just a bad stroke of luck I guess.
