Apollo has reported problems with the conversion done at Colour Replacement -> Palette Conversion. He was using one of his animation with gensmkexplo.pal and trying to convert to ra2 anim.pal until he's got results like the ones attached.

I'm just posting this report to remember it later. I'll try to fix it once I'm done with my masters.

Is this problem specific to just the ra2 anim.pal and custom pals? I've done quite a few colour replacements and didn't had any problems with them.

I'll have to investigate it carefully when I get some free time.

It doesn't seem to relate what the target palette is, it does the edges miscoloring always, key point is likely the presence of fairly dark pixels, else it performs properly seemingly.

Hmmm... I have that thing too. I wonder if it's related to the dark red turns into blue on Voxel Viewer preview bug.

I think it has to do to the fact that I'm using bytes to store the colour values. So I need to be careful that if the result of a subtraction with that kind of data becomes negative, it results in a number near 256 (positive).

But I do not have time to look at that right now.

Of course, good luck.

Ok, the origin of this bug is that the colours at the remappable range receive an unwanted conversion. I'll come up with a solution soon.

Update: Fixed in the latest build.

The problem in test seems to be fixed indeed. Cool
You could  however add that frame trimmer option sometime to delete every next frame and corresponding shadow frame if present I mentioned ages ago #Tongue

Sorry, I do not understand your idea. Could you elaborate it?

I think he means if youve got frames 1,2,3,4 the tool would remove 2 & 4 for example, used to cut down the amount of frames in a long animation.
