Restoring the Giant Squid Pounce

If you've peeked into the Mixes, you'll notice how the Giant Squid has a pounce shp similar to the Attack Dogs. This is a simple tutorial which will fix it to allow the Giant Squid to have a Pounce Image as it was originally intended.


Firstly we'll fix its projectile, in rulemd.ini search for "SQDJUMP" modify it to look like these:

AA=no
Arm=2
ROT=1
Acceleration=50
Shadow=no
Proximity=yes
Ranged=yes
FirersPalette=yes
SubjectToCliffs=yes
SubjectToElevation=yes
SubjectToWalls=yes


Next we will do some tweaking in Artmd.ini find "SQDP" and modify it to be like this:
Code:
[SQDP]
Rotates=yes
CanBeHidden=True
Flat=yes


And finally the fixed SHP, just drop this into your new Mixes and it should work properly. Hope this is of use to anybody out there...

Thanks for the move. and as stated... I noticed it a few minutes later after posting it.

I've tried giving it translucency but as I've come to find out it doesn't seem to work out... So the next best thing is making the shadow look like proper water colors...

Translucent/Translucency does not work with Projectiles at all. Just pointing that one out in case someone wonders if it's possible despite your results.
