Well today I just made a tiny little animation... just wondering if when Bounty Logic comes will this be useless?

Its a remapable Text that is part of the Building's Animation.

Namely my plan for this is for the Oil Derricks.

It may have its use in some cases, but I doubt it.
Ares render that animation by itself, so there is no need for a shp.

Ares is spreading the word.

Anyway, I take it that the bounty logic will be primarily attached to units, but can it be attached to weapons/warheads too?

For say, a AA tank with a big grinder on front. The AA guns shouldn't give you money for blasting aircraft out of the sky. But the grinder, that grinder just grinds everything in front of it into nice recyclable resources for ecological friendly warfare.

The above thing is correct... since you can't really buffer the weapon which inflicted damage/killed the target, Bounty tags are on unit level.

There are some plans of mine (ephatesis on plans) to make a ZH Hacker like weapon (where money is given per every shot regardless of final damage inflicted) which ofcouse would be on weapon or warheads, but that's really on a planning stage and I have more than enough todo from uni, from Ares and from my own mod to leave it only on planning stage.
