Following up from our update yesterday, we have more finished work ready for the release in less than two days time. GDI Have gotten their Guard Tower's up and running for Twisted Dawn, and now Nod have gotten their Turrets and SAM Sites prepared too.

We have no intentions of replacing the Obelisk of Light with a Dawn image on the grounds that our current TI Era Obelisk was designed to closely replicate the original Dawn one in the first place, so we've simply decided to use it for both eras.

Great, as always!
Now if only those SAMs were pop-up...!

I'll be honest, I'm not a great fan of TI's current Obelisk. It lacks something that the originals did have somehow, which makes it look less "menacing".
Maybe it's the soft round corners, opposed to having sharp corners and edges?

Well, it is very accurately modelled after the original TD one.
But if I had to change anything to make it more imposing, I'd make the top part straight/vertical like an actual obelisk, rather than bent-over, which is of course intended to invoke a "scorpion tail" theme, but just looks crooked and ramshackle imo.

The TI Obelisk also looks more metallic. The one in TD at least looked like it was more of concrete with fancy black paint.
