how does cncnet client store nicknames?
anyone know how cncnet stores nicknames on their server? even if i change ip or mac address, change dns server or flush dns, reformat pc, use a vpn, somehow can still always tell who i am ? i want to smurf and namehide to get games. QUICK_EDIT

From what I heard it generates a unique ID by several means, exactly to prevent smurfing/namehiding and also to prevent people from circumventing bans (even if they're able to change their IP address).

You can change the nickname [that is client side(or was last update I played)] but The unique ID is sever side and unchangeable [I think ask Rampastien he made the client(I think)]. Like Bittah said.

yes hello rampastring. listen i dotn want to ban dodge, or cheat or anything. im well known in community. as top player. as such its hard for me to get games, as people are scared to play. i just miss the smurfing from wol. to me its a part of any compettive game. i dont cheat, dont want to abuse the system, etc i wouldnt even tell ne1 else how its done its just annoying.
I have to say that as long as there is no ladder, ranking system or any other scoring system (*), I wouldn't mind smurfing.
It's not like you destroy someone else score when doing it.
And when you are well known (feared), then it can be indeed a problem to find someone else to play with you.

they produce a huge and good program like cncnet and all what you say Is how it is storing names?! haha well it has something named "Settings.ini" look inside it you will find you cncnet Nickname after "Handle" ahhhhhh all what is said above my reply is Bullshit. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
just wanted to say i ban him from my games cause hes a well known shit talker. he comes into your games and usually tries to get buddy buddy with you like a weirdo and then proceeds to verbally abuse the shit out of you once ingame. i usually kick people who try to start conversations with me or use the game as a means to verbally bully and abuse players. thats what trz is known for and why hes banned. is he good? ya hes pretty good. ive recorded some matches of him getting his ass kicked tho lol. just i dont put up with people who torment and harass me and others have dealt with his shit too.
